Cartloom allows you to use your own domain when using Storefront. Some sellers like to do this to give customers the impression that their site is one cohesive platform. There are several approaches to how to set it up, but we will go over the two primary setups.
Root Domain Setup
If you want all your domains traffic to go to your root domain, then you will use this method. A root domain is domain with no subdomain associated with it. An example would be example.com
To configure your root domain to work with your site, you’ll need to add the following CNAME record to your DNS records using @ for Name.
An example subdomain might be www.example.com or shop.example.com
To configure your subdomain to work with your site, you’ll need to add the following CNAME record to your DNS records using your chosen subdomain for Name.
Updating Your Storefront Settings
After you’ve got your CNAME record setup you should enter your chosen domain in the Storefront settings under CNAME Domain Alias and update. Ensure you enter the domain exactly as you set it up in the CNAME record, e.g. www.example.com or example.com or store.example.com
